April 13-22

Started from Home and drove up to see my mum as she is staying with sister Karen in Warwick. Then off to Westbrook to Bella B&B for 2 nights.
Driving south along the Newell Hwy and stayed outside the Bogabilla Cemetery. Nothing sinister here though.
Easter sunday has us at a river just east of Narrabri called Turrawan Beside the River.

Beer and crackers time.

After two nights and a trip to the vet to repair Billy's broken claw - he broke it on the step of the van and the Narrabri vet had to use sedation to remove the offending piece.

Onwards southbound we go and came across a rock aptly called Frog Rock. This is just outside the town of Gulgong. The town has great parks with manicured grass and the locals were preparing for Anzac Day.

That night 19-04-2017 we camped at Ilford in the park opposite the RFS and local hall. Some of the towns here really like to encourage travelers to stay. It was cold at night and we finally tested the diesel heater out. 900 m altitude, not high enough for snow.

Driving to Bathurst today for a look at the shops and a slow tour of the circuit. On the way we visited the small Heritage town of Sofala.

Bill had a game with his new friend.

And of course from Skyline.

Camped at Tout Scenic View - 20 km N of Young. Great views of surrounding farmland.

Billy finally made it to the Dog on the Tuckerbox.

The old bridges at Gundagai are still standing. I remember crossing these old timber bridges as a young lad.
